The Catchment Modelling theme focuses on the investigation of the water resources of peri-urban and rural catchments, under the affects of land use, land management, climate variability and climate change.

Specifically, this theme targets:

• the assessment of contemporary and future flows of surface and groundwater
• the loads and concentrations of sediments, nutrients and salts generated as runoff from catchments
• delivery of flows and constituents through the river systems, and
• the integrated modelling of catchment hydrology with ecological response and management models.
